Order Management

Order management in iCRM may be divided into several categories

Order status management.

At each step of its business life an order should have a certain status.

There is no right answer when asking about how many status reports an order should have. It is a question of business organization and business philosophy.

When should an order be opened? At first contact or only after a deal is sealed? When should the order be closed? When we receive money or when the client confirms they are happy? Answering these simple questions will help you understand this process.

Order status management is interlinked with sales pipeline management topics, delivery management, and account management.

For organizations with an established sales process, an order status may be important in estimating the probability of a deal being closed and can then be used to forecast sales.

From the viewpoint of operations management, order status may become a milestone or a phase of order processing.

Order execution management

Order execution management is concerned with all activities required to complete a particular order.

iCRM Basic and iCRM Pro both support order Tasks. By using these it is simple to plan all the actions which facilitate order completion.
iCRM Pro also supports Project Management. Any order may start one or, in more complex cases, several projects, intended to create a unique product, service or result.

Order scope management and order price calculation

When you calculate an order price, you should have something to use as a base for price calculation. The order form has a special area for you to add your products or services and indicate amounts and discounts that will apply. Based on your settings, iCRM will help you calculate an order price.

Products or services listed in the order may serve as a good set of checkpoints for planning the order execution, when to complete the order, and when to begin a new  Project.
